The screw stepper motor uses a screw and nut to engage, and takes a certain method to prevent the screw nut from rotating relative, so that the screw moves axially.

What are the advantages of screw stepper motor?

  1. When the screw stepper motor works, each phase winding is not constantly energized, but turns energized according to a certain rule.


  2. The Angle of rotation of the rotor for each input pulse electrical signal is called the step Angle.


  3. The screw stepper motor can be controlled by Angle and speed according to specific instructions. Angle control, each input pulse, the stator winding will be changed once, the output shaft will turn an Angle, the number of steps and the number of pulses are consistent, the angular displacement of the output shaft rotation is proportional to the input pulse. When the speed is controlled, a continuous pulse is sent into the winding of the stepper motor, each phase winding is constantly energized in turn, the stepper motor continuously rotates, and its speed is proportional to the pulse frequency. By changing the electrification sequence, that is, changing the direction of rotation of the stator magnetic field, the motor can be controlled to turn forward or reverse.


  4. Screw stepper motor has self-locking ability. When the control pulse stops the input, and the winding controlled by the last pulse continues to pass direct current, the motor can remain in a fixed position, that is, stop at the end position of the angular displacement controlled by the last pulse, so that the stepper motor can realize the rotor positioning when stopping.
