Introduction of stepper motor driver

A stepper motor controller is an electronic device used to control the motion of a stepper motor. Stepper motors are commonly used in applications that require precise positioning, such as robotics, CNC machines, and 3D printers.

A stepper motor controller works by sending electrical pulses to the motor, causing it to move in a precise and controlled manner. The controller can vary the frequency, direction and number of pulses sent to the motor, allowing precise control of the motor's motion.

There are many types of stepper motor controllers, including:

1. Open-loop controllers

These controllers simply send a set number of pulses to the motor, with no feedback mechanism to ensure the motor actually moves the desired amount.

2. Closed-loop controllers

These controllers use feedback sensors (such as encoders) to monitor the position of the motor and adjust the pulse frequency accordingly to ensure precise positioning.

3. Microstepping Controllers

These controllers use a technique called microstepping to provide finer control over the motor's movement. Instead of sending a full step to the motor, a microstepping controller sends a series of smaller steps, resulting in smoother, more precise motion.

Introduction of stepper motor driver-DS535

The DS535 is a newly launched digital hybrid stepping servo driver with a serial port debugging function. It adopts the latest 32-bit DSP control technology and integrates the MODBUS-RTU standard protocol. Multiple parameters such as subdivision and working mode have greatly enriched the practical functions of the product and can meet the application needs of most occasions.

The DS535 driver adopts a servo-like control principle, integrates vector control technology, built-in micro-segmentation technology, and adaptive filtering technology, which greatly optimizes the performance of the stepper motor, and runs smoothly at low, medium, and high speeds with low noise. Accurate and smooth pure sinusoidal current vector control technology effectively reduces the heating of the motor.

The driving voltage range of the DS535 driver is DC20~50V, and it is suitable for a two-phase hybrid stepping motor with a peak current below 3.5A and an outer diameter of 28~42mm.

1. Voltage Mode

The high and low voltage dual mode makes the drivers suitable for motors with a voltage range of 50V to 300V.

2. Pulse Characteristics

The single and double pulse dual mode makes the drivers suitable for pulse + direction mode and CW, CCW double pulse mode.

3. Torque Characteristics

The drivers have a large torque and communication control mode, making them suitable for various applications.

4. Motion Control Function

The drivers integrate motion control function, which eliminates the need for a separate PLC or motion controller.

5. Touch Screen Control

The drivers can be controlled directly by touch screen or by downloading parameters.

6. Subdivision

The drivers have 16 gears angle constant torque subdivision, and the highest resolution is 60000 steps/turn.
